Manuel Antonio National Park is approximately 45 miles south, requiring 1.5 hours of travel along coastal Highway 34. Tours typically depart Los Sueños between 7:00-8:00 AM to arrive when the park opens, and wildlife viewing is optimal. Tortuga Island boat tours depart from nearby Herradura Marina (5-minute drive), with boat rides taking 1-1.5 hours depending on sea conditions.

The Rainforest Adventure Park near Jaco is 15 minutes north of the resort. Crocodile tours on the Tarcoles River launch from bridges 20 minutes north.
